New Zealand Golf Teachers Federation
The NZGTF focuses on the profession of teaching golf to foster and increase amateur playing in New Zealand. Areas of emphasis are based on communication skills as well as technical knowledge and playing ability. Our mission is to make a positive contribution to the New Zealand golf industry by producing quality teachers who enjoy golf and can pass their skills and knowledge further afield, locally and internationally. Furthermore, providing a platform in which individuals can turn their passion for golf into their profession. You may be just out of high school, semi-retired or somewhere in-between. Many graduates start their own teaching businesses in their local area. There is an opportunity for everyone to live their dream and receive on-going support through our graduate membership programme.
The New Zealand Golf Teachers Federation (NZGTF) trains and qualifies individuals as golf teaching professionals that can teach anywhere in the world. Certification is available to anyone interested in teaching golf full time or part time. We are a full member of the World Golf Teachers Federation (WGTF), the largest organisation of golf teaching professionals in the world with over 25,000 qualified members representing 42 countries.
Graduates occupy all aspects of the industry including positions teaching at driving ranges, indoor facilities and some establish their own private teaching businesses. Candidates receive every opportunity to develop their teaching skills and analysis as well as ample time to pass the PAT.
Candidates must pass every aspect of the course to graduate. Candidates will be given an opportunity to resit areas they have not passed at the next NZGTF course at no extra cost.
