How to get to Windross Farm

Windross Farm golf course where New Zealand’s first LPGA Tour event will be staged at the end of the month.

Train, car, cab or bus – all the bases are covered to get to the New Zealand Women’s Open in Auckland at the end of the month.
The $1.85 million event, to be staged at the new Windross Farm golf course in south Auckland, will host the first LPGA tournament in New Zealand from September 28-October 1.
Organisers want to make it as easy as possible for fans to get to the Windross Farm golf course at Ardmore.
For those wanting to drive to the course, the official car park is at Ardmore Airport off Mullins Road or Airport Road with a 10 minute walk to the golf course.
Daily parking is $10 or a season pass for four days is $20 from Ticketek.
Alternatively, fans can be dropped off at 456 Airfield Road, Ardmore, for admission to the course during the tournament with a short walk to the course. It is also where the taxi stand will be positioned.
Spectators can enjoy a relaxing day out by taking the train to Papakura Station, which is available from every train route in the city and then a free bus to the course.  The buses will be operating between Papakura Station and the course from 9am to 6pm every half hour (and every 15 minutes on Saturday and Sunday).
Those venturing from out of town can take advantage on a special deal from AVIS, the tournament’s office vehicle rental sponsor. They are offering $50 off a three-day or more vehicle rental. Full details are available http://www.nzwomensopen.co.nz/travel.html.
Hospitality packages for the open are now on sale with three options to choose from. Also a limited number of four-day season passes are available at $99 plus booking fee. Single day passes are available at $39 for Thursday and Friday and $49 per day for Saturday and Sunday – both plus booking fee.
