Hendry goes close at Moonah Links PGA Classic

After finishing inside the top five at last week’s Victorian PGA held at Moonah Links, Michael Hendry has improved on that result at the Moonah Links PGA held at the same venue.

Hendry has finished in third place at the Moonah Links PGA held at the Open Course following rounds of 67, 70, 66, and 69 to finish at 16-under for the tournament, just three shots back of Bryden Macpherson who took out the tournament.

He also finished at 16-under at Moonah Links Resort (another course on the same facility) the previous week, as well as a tie for 14th at The Players Series Victoria held by Geoff Ogilvy.

Hendry will now head home after a four-tournament stint over the ditch.

Daniel Hillier has also continued his run of good form with a share of eleventh place in the same event.

Hillier fired rounds of 67, 71, 72, and 68 to finish at 10-under par for the event.

He will now head up north to New South Wales to play in The Players Series Sydney Hosted by Braith Anasta which gets underway tomorrow.

Luke Brown and Campbell Rawson will follow suit after finishing at three-under and nine-over respectively.

Meanwhile on the PGA Tour, Tim Wilkinson has finished in a share of 30th at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am.

The left-hander carded rounds of 67, 74, 69, and 72 to finish at six-under the card, 12-shots back of Daniel Berger who eagled the last to take the title.

Wilkinson now moves up to 178th on the FedEx Cup from 196th.

He doesn’t tee it up in this week’s Genesis Invitational while countryman Danny Lee will.
