Hendry , Hiller solid results while playing in Australia
Michael Hendry has finished inside the top-15 in the inaugural TPS Victoria Hosted by Geoff Ogilvy on the PGA Australia Tour.
The event mirrors Golf New Zealand’s Jennian Homes Charles Tour events where both men and women compete for the same trophy, for the same prize purse, in the same field, but has the added component of junior golfers competing in their own competition.
Hendry carded rounds of 73, 65, 71, and 65 to finish in a tie for 14th at 10-under par at Rosebud Country Club. He finished seven shots back of reigning New Zealand Open champion Brad Kennedy.
His final round included seven birdies with just the lone bogey which catapulted the world number 421 up the leaderboard and into the top-15.
Meanwhile, Daniel Hillier finished a single shot back in a tie for 17th place following rounds of 71, 67, 69, and 68.
Chang Gi Lee, Campbell Rawson, Sung Jin Yeo, Luke Brown, and James Anstiss missed the cut.
On the European Tour, Ryan Fox has finished in a tie for 41st at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic played on the Emirates Golf Club.
The world number 208 made the first cut of his season after carding rounds of 73, 69, 71, and 73 to finish at two-under par over the four rounds. He finished 15 shots back of Paul Casey who ran away with the event at 17-under.
He now turns his attention to this week’s Saudi International.
Finally, on the PGA Tour Danny Lee has finished in a tie for 65th at the Farmers Insurance Open.
Lee shot rounds of 74, 67, 76, and 74 to finish three-over par and 17 shots back of Patrick Reed.
Tim Wilkinson also teed it up and carded rounds of 67, 76, 80, and 71 to finish in a tie for 73rd.
