It was one of those nearly but not quite days for Steven Alker and Lydia Ko in their final rounds. For Ko it was a case of rounds one and four being two excellent bogey free rounds totalling 10 under par  with 10 birdies. Two frustrating middle rounds with 12 birdies only yielded five under par. Both rounds had three hole stretches including double bogeys that cost her a win. With her tie 3rd there is no question her game is on track for another major title. Could it be at the British Open?

Meanwhile Steve Alker came so close again. Two or three uncharacteristic missed shortish putts cost him in the end but his tie 3rd will consolidate his lead in the season long race. Michael Campbell stuggled in the difficult conditions and finished 66th.

In the Cazoo Classic Daniel Hillier gave himself no chance with three double bogeys and finished 68th while Josh Geary had missed the cut.

In the US on the WAPT Tour Munchin Keh had a solid final round to finish -4 in a tie for 5th while Julianne Alvarez finished 25th 0n +8.
