HARCOURTS MATCHPLAY CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS

Jason McIntosh proved again that he is the best match player at Taupo Golf club prevailing in Harcourts Matchplay Championships played recently..

Played in testing conditions, he won the Senior division of the Harcourts Matchplay Championships with a

comfortable margin over his opponent Conrad Harle. The Senior plate was

won by Mark Landl.

Dick Hart won the Intermediate section by beating Mikki McLaughlin.

The plate was won by Taylor Parkes.

Kevin Blackstock was to steady for Warren Chomondeley-Smith in the Junior

Section while the evergreen Ron Forbes took out the Plate.

Several of the matches in the Women’s division were much closer.

Diana Syer beat Chris. Thomson to take out the best women match player in

the Silver division.The bronze 1 division was won by Viv. Nyssen over Pam Upchurch

The bronze 2 division winner was Viv Wrathall when she beat Jane Crawford.

The strength of both men and women’s 9 hole golfers has increased.

They also had their Championship finals.

Bruce Bannister won the men’s section and Prue Ludbrook won the womens.

Rosie Harvey, Co-owner of Harcourts presented the Trophies and awards.

For those not taking part in the Champs there was a 2 person ambrose on

Tauhara. Comprehensive winners were Marcus Barron and Danny Mills

on a nett 61.75.
