Garvey steady, Ieremia and Voke don’t progress

Amelia Garvey has remained steady during the second round of LPGA Tour Stage 3 of Q-School, while Denzel Ieremia and Nick Voke fall short of Final Stage of Korn Ferry Tour Qualifying.

Garvey has followed up her opening round of 70 with a round of 71 today at the Bobcat Course at he Plantation Golf and Country Club to be three-under-par and in a share of 14th.

She started her day off the 10th tee with a bogey but got that shot immediately back at the 11th with a birdie. Garvey traded another bogey with a birdie to close out her opening nine at even-par.

The 21-year-old faced some adversity on her back nine, making bogeys at the first and fourth holes to fall to two-over for the day and back to even for the tournament. She came home strong with birdies at the fifth, eighth, and ninth holes to salvage her round and shoot her second consecutive under par round.

She’s seven shots back of the leader but well inside the top 45 to progress through to the Q-Series.

Unfortunately, Denzel Ieremia and Nick Voke have fallen short of progressing to the Final Stage of Korn Ferry Tour Q-School.

Ieremia began the day four shots outside of the top 20 to progress after rounds of 69, 68, and 76.

He carded a final round of one-under to finish in a tie for 35th.

Voke was a shot further back on a tie for 40th after rounds of 70, 74, 72, and 69.
