Lindberg, who was a popular if unnecessarily controversial player according to a nitpicking few, in the 2020 New Zealand Open, made a weekend trip to Washington DC to watch the All Blacks play the United States.

Lindberg said: “When I played in the New Zealand Open before covid arrived in February, 2020, I was fortunate enough to meet many of the All Blacks.

``Talk about some incredible athletes and just down to Earth fun guys to be around.”

She was paired with Beauden Barrett for the first two rounds of the New Zealand Open who told this reporter he was thoroughly enjoying the experience at the time.

Lindberg added: “Needless to say that was one of the most enjoyable weeks of our lives. So when we saw they were making the trip to the USA, of course we were really looking forward to coming up from Orlando to watch them live.”

A love affair indeed. — By Neville Idour.
