The Hills adopting double vaccination policy

Sir Michael Hill’s golf club The Hills in Arrowtown is setting a lead for golf clubs in the fight against covid-19.

General manager James Cavanagh said The Hills would align itself with the government’s date of December 3 for moving to the new traffic light system by implementing its own vaccination requirements.

As from that date all persons over 12 years of age coming on to The Hills will be required to show proof of vaccination via the digital or printed version of the my vaccine pass.

Cavanagh said: “We have decided to require vaccination certificates under all levels, green, orange and red, so that we can continue to deliver the fullest range of services and the best possible premium experience to members, guests and visitors.”

This requirement will apply to all people including those providing goods and services. —

As a Footnote Golfer Pacific NZ received this week the following notifications on proof of vaccine and entry criteria at Golf Clubs.

"Mangawhai Golf Club confirms that from 3rd of December 2021, all contractors, suppliers & visitors will need to be fully vaccinated as a condition of entering the premises or having face-to-face interactions with staff and members.”

“Please be aware that Judgeford Golf Club is implementing a vaccine pass policy from Friday the 3rd of December. This means that no one over the age of 11 will be allowed inside the shop or cafe/bar without producing evidence of them being double vaccinated or having an official medical exemption.?

“At its meeting on Monday 29th November, the Committee agreed that under the new Covid Protection Framework recently announced by the NZ Government, Whangaroa Golf Club will operate with a Vaccine Pass requirement from 3rd December 2021.  Please download your Vaccine Pass from the My Covid Record site and present it to club staff for verification before you next play golf.  If you cannot access this service you can call 0800 222 478 - have your NHI number ready.

People who are unvaccinated will not be able to play golf or enter the clubhouse and its facilities and for the safety of all there will be no exceptions.

Whangaroa Golf Club reserves the right to amend this policy.”
