Geary has moved up two spots into 32nd in the season-long points race, following another top-15 on the Challenge Tour. The 36-year-old finished at six-under par after carding rounds of 70, 68, 71, and 69 to finished in a tie for 11th, eight shots back of Marcel Siem.

With the top-20 all gaining status on the main tour next year, Geary has been rapidly climbing the rankings in the last two weeks with a tie for second finish at the Kaskada Challenge.

His assault on the leaderboard didn’t stop this week as he came out all guns blazing in the final round. He opened with a birdie at the first and followed that with four straight pars. Geary then made three birdies on the trot and made the turn at four-under par.

The world number 396 started his closing nine with a par before making another birdie at the 11th to move for five-under. Unfortunately for Geary, his momentum would stop from there as he made a bogey at the 15th and a double at the 16th to fall back to two-under.

He’d par his way in to shoot 69.

Meanwhile, on the European Tour, Ryan Fox has finished in a tie for 44th at the Aberdeen Scottish Open held at The Renaissance Club in Scotland.

Fox has shot rounds of 70, 70, 68, and 68 to finish at eight-under par for the tournament, 10-shots back of Australian Min Woo Lee, who won in extra holes.

The result also moved Fox up two places on the European Tour’s season-long points race, the Race to Dubai into 98th.

He’ll peg it up alongside Daniel Hillier this week at the 149th Open Championship held at Royal St. Georges. Danny Lee has pulled out due to injury.

Finally, Steve Alker has finished in 71st position on the Korn Ferry Tour at the TPC Colorado Championship.

Alker fired rounds of 70, 71, 74, and 73 to finish at even-par, 16-shots back of Tad Ridings who also prevailed in a playoff.

He’ll play this week at the Memorial Health Championship alongside Nick Voke.
