Following up on the story in the July issue of Golfer Pacific, 23 year old Canterbury Professional golfer Momoka Kobori has continued her stunning run of success in Europe with her second win in four starts on the LET Access Tour.

Following her first up win followed by a seventh and a second she distanced the field at the Pas de Calais Open in France at the weekend to win by four shots. On a challenging course in difficult conditions only five players broke par making Kobori’s -8 an outstanding effort.

She led after the first round on -4 then followed that with a one under par round to hold a one shot lead going into the final round of these 54 hole tournaments. A double bogey on the 17th cut her lead. In the final round she birdied her first hole and with the field struggling maintained a three shot cushion for much of the round. A strong finish with birdies on the 15th and 18th par 5 holes sealed the deal.

She picked up 6,400 Euros bringing her total prizemoney from the four events to 17,964 Euros. Even though she only entered the Tour in the seasons fifth event, having played less than her rivals, she is already top of the Order of Merit. The top six players at seasons end will earn their cards for the main European Tour and Kobori is well on the way to achieving that.
