The winner of last year’s Whangamata’ Masters Golf Raffle, local man Richard Abraham has started packing his bag for the prestigious April tournament. The Masters is one of the top golf tournaments in the world and Richard is excited. “The way they do things at The Masters is incredible-crikey, there are just as many rules for spectators as there are for the players, can’t wait”.
Richard won The Master’s Magnolia Experience last year and it’s an exclusive and rare golfing thrill. He’ll travel to Atlanta, Georgia, USA attend Thursday’s Pre-Masters welcome and briefing and be on course Saturday and Sunday as the best in the world hunt down the famous Green Jacket.
This year the club is running the raffle one more time but rather than just a single ticket they’ve made it a double. This year’s prize is worth $50,000. Tickets and all the information are available at www.wgcmasters.net.
Richard fancies his chances in this one as well but he’s not sure if he should take the wife or his Ambrose partner whose also very keen.
