Titirangi club mates Britney Dryland and Miree Jung fought out the final of the Auckland Womens Provincial Matchplay Championship at Windross Farm Golf Course. In late November. And it was literally a fight as the match was not decided until the 22nd hole with Dryland making birdie to secure the title.

Dryland was ahead early in the match but Jung eventually claimed the holes back and then went ahead with one hole to play. Jung found the fairway bunker on the 18th hole and took two shots to get out. Dryland played the final hole safely and when Jung conceded Dryland's par it was down the 19th. Both players parred the first two holes and then they both birdied the 21st hole. But it was Dryland's superb approach to the 22nd hole that set up the win.
