Vincent Ward tournament. After 10 years in a cupboard.

Golf Wellington’s half Year meeting and Vincent Ward tournament. After 10 years in a cupboard for the trophy, this event was played in combination with the club officers attendance at the half year meeting, important and valuable interaction amongst club's key employees and volunteers.

Vincent Ward was the 2nd son of Joseph Ward, a prominent businessman and politician. An OBE recipient in 1946, the year of his death, the Honorable Vincent Ward presented this trophy in 1941, competed for over the next 70 years till being somehow shelved in 2011. Polished up and reinstated this meeting and event combination, wonderfully hosted by Judgeford GC, will again be the format going forward for Half Year and AGM meetings.
