What a day. From blinding rain to blinding sunshine as the Whangamata Golf Club held their charity golf tournament to finally clean up from Gabrielle. Forecast was bad but generosity overpowered the weather and the club raised over $65,000.

With this and their Masters Raffle www.wgcmasters.net the club is well on the way to recovery. The course itself has been transformed with several tonnes of bush being cleared all with one central focus. Water Be Gone.

The standard of prizes and auction items were extremely generous and with highly colourful auctioneers and organisation committee, the day was a huge success.
