Aorangi Golf-Women's Veterans Pennant

The Aorangi Women's Veterans pennant final round was played at Temuka on Monday 6th May 2024.

The competition this year has been very tight and with only 1 round to complete, there were four teams In the running to win, Rakaia (25 points), Timaru (25 points), Pleasant Point (26 points) & Gleniti (24 points). Each of these teams needed to win to have any chance at the title, but also needed to ensure they secured a large amount of points to leapfrog those close to them.

On the day Timaru were up to the challenge and came in with the best score of the day with a 12 - 0 win against Gleniti, separating themselves from the pack and becoming clear champions.

The Timaru Team members on the day were Chris Turnbull, Kathy Williams, Miriam Burnside and Cath Preen. Also Carol Rodden, Susan Brown & Lois Beattie all competed in previous rounds.
